General drops 2 pounds; Exercising is nigh

Well, I suppose it’s technically 2.2, but we’ll round down. That’s 6.2 pounds in two weeks, so I’m good with that. Last night was tough, since I was at a birthday party with gobs of ice cream, cookies, cheesecake, pies, etc., but I just had one bite of ice cream and one bite of a sugar cookie. My grace period for losing weight without exercising is probably running short, so I’ll climb back on the stairmaster this week for between 15-30 minutes a day, and try to melt off an extra pound per week that way. I don’t imagine I’ll be back in the gym lifting weights until after the first of the year, and even then I’ll have to take it easy, since I’ve been feeling some pain in both my right elbow and right heel lately. We’ll see.

Overall, I can’t complain about the week. I’m getting hungrier in the evenings than I was in the first week, although that could just be the overabundance of motivation I had going for me in the first week, just starting and all. I usually drink water and/or v-8 to kill those hunger pangs. I have definitely noticed that the weight is a hell of a lot slower coming off when I’m 32 than it was when I’m 22! That has a way of depressing me, but also motivating me, because if the difference is that big at 32, imagine when you’re 42, 52 or beyond. I want to get it off now so I don’t have to fight it then.

Email Josh (I probably can't win, but I'm still trying like hell.)
