Primetime
While we’re not quite “prime time” yet, our ideas are. Last night on ABC News Primetime, there was a story about 2 groups of people in a contest to lose weight (I believe they were 2 groups of co-workers). Each person in each group had to lose 15 pounds in 2 months (sissies). One group was given only praise and group support throughout the 2 months. The other group was trotted onto a minor league baseball field (empty at the time) and each of them was photographed in a bathing suit. The deal that this group had was that any one of them who did NOT meet their goal would have that picture displayed on the Jumbo-Tron DURING a game. The theory was that public humiliation is a good motivator for losing weight.
The results? No idea — I fell asleep. But before I did, I saw that all but 2 of “Team Humiliation” met their goal, and those two missed by a total of 3 pounds.
Our “problem”, if you will, is that none of us have a single bit of dignity, so public humiliation will never work (as indicated by our volunteering of half naked pics with no problem whatsoever). I guess the praise and support route will have to work!

Praise, support, and the Caribbean. I want my picture on the jumbo-tron if I DO meet my goal. Actually, since most people in our country are fat asses already, it is more abnormal to be slim. I fit right in!!!
