Good News, Bad News
News from Generaltown: Got on the Stairmaster last night for 30 minutes, and it went fine. Not very much pain in my heel (although that’s gonna need a doctor visit at some point soon). Bad news is, I haven’t been tracking my eating as well the last couple days, and I’ve been running high on calories. I usually take in about 1800 per day, and it wouldn’t surprise me if I’ve been up in the 2300-2400 area. I expect very little progress on Monday morning, since it’s Christmas morning, but I don’t expect a total disaster. My portions are staying pretty reasonable, even if I’ve taken in a few hundred extra holiday calories the last couple of days. One of my goals over the next couple days is to get my eating and exercise plan in order so I can attack the other Beasts in the New Year.

I could post almost exactly the same entry and it’d be accurate for me too (besides the Stairmaster part — but including the sure visit to a doctor part for some injury as soon as I start going to the gym).
I have been eating fine, but not great. No real big “cheats”, but I am out of town for a few days and it is always harder when you’re not at your home base.
I think I’ll come in with no progress — possibly even a minor setback. Even before I traveled, I’d checked my weight and it wasn’t moving down. I expected to hit the wall soon with no exercise, so I believe that time has come. Good thing I joined a gym last week — that starts on Tuesday.
