A push for the General
That’s a double entendre, gentlemen. For the first entendre, I meant not a push forward, mind you, but a push, like in gambling. I weighed 206.2 on Monday, which is exactly what I weighed the previous week. So no progress for me either way, which I consider a victory, given that I ate a bunch of holiday crap on both Sunday and Monday.
And for my second entendre, I just got back from my first workout back in the gym, and I’m lauding myself for “pushing” myself to get back in there right away, Dec. 26, instead of the usual Jan. 2 or 3 that has been my custom in the past. My heel is going to cause me problems, but I’m trying to work around it until I can get in to see the doc (or, let’s be honest, until I stop procrastinating and go to the doc. It isn’t hard to get in to see a doctor in Rapid City, South Dakota). I have trouble fully flexing or fully extending my right foot in calf exercises, but as the Captain will surely point out, even in my hulking days, I still had calves the size of acorns, so a lack of meaty calves will be nothing unusual for me.
Post-workout, had a protein shake and half a Met-rx bar. Prepare to be lookin’ over your shoulder, Cap/Monk.
Email Josh (I probably can't win, but I'm still trying like hell.)

Not so fast, acorn calves. I’m heading to the gym in a bit myself — got the new lock for the locker, some new socks and jocks — I’m rearin’ to go (I just want to wait until mid-afternoon so no one is there).
Good work on getting back into A.S.A.P. I know I’ll feel a lot better after doing cardio for a few days.

Way to go husband! Glad one of us is using the gym membership. By the way I think you did a super job over the holidays! Don’t forget the good for you desserts that your lovely wife made for you.

That brownie/pudding thing is golden. I’ll post it on here soon.
