Smoking vs. Chewing Gum
I haven’t ever really been a gum chewer, but I got some sugarless gum for my hungry times (right now is one, about 3 p.m. and 3 - 3 1/2 hours removed from lunch, the other will be around 9ish p.m.) and it’s working pretty well. It tasts like shit but it curbs my appetite. If I get effective doing this, I may throw cigarettes out the window for this contest too. I would just like to let my fans and supporters know that I don’t expect to quit smoking. In fact I might be at two packs a day by the end of this thing.

Funny you would mention that now, because about 2-3 months ago, I got this crazy addiction to “eclipse” gum. It’s sugarfree, and delicious. I chew it constantly — not to ward off hunger, but just because of the pure deliciousness — although it does ward off hunger a little, as well. I hate the cherry cooler kind (tastes like cough syrup, absolutely gross) and peppermint (because I hate peppermint in general), but the lemon, spearmint, midnight cool (tastes like black licorice, delicious), polar ice, and one other kind of mint are awesome. For optimal flavor, I chew no fewer than three pieces at once.

I chose Orbit, but I’ll keep that in mind. I hate peppermint took so I got the spearmint. It’s not that bad I guess, and only 5 calories per square, so I can’t blame any massive weight gain on it. Just in case I wanted to make a meal of the crap, there’s a disclaimer on the box that says “not a low calorie food.” Thanks guys.

Chewing Eclipse is like having little, sparkly angels singing a choir in your mouth.
