| Contestant: Josh Nickname: The General Location: Rapid City, South Dakota Starting Weight: 212 Goal Weight: 190 Odds of winning: Slim Why he could win: Good understanding of nutrition and exercise. Sets his own work schedule and has a Stairmaster at home, so no barriers to scheduling exercise time. Sitting on a ton of pre-ban ephedra that could easily fuel a late-stage push for extra fat loss. Why he could lose: Because he has fewer pound to lose than the bigger fellas, it’ll be hard to compete in a contest based on percentage of bodyweight lost. Has two small children at home competing for his time. Has the beginnings of arthritis in elbows and ankles, making sustained cardio difficult after a while. Cold climate makes outdoor exercise impossible during winter. Weakness: Taco John’s, ice cream, cookies, other sweets. |

As the beauty behind this massive beast, I have to tell the competing fat fatties, that The General is eating good and kicking ass. No matter how I temp him with Pop-Tarts, Chex Mix, or cheesecake, he does not surrender to the tasty goodness. He sticks to the rigid measured portions he allows himself several times daily. If anyone can do it, Josh can.
Remember he has added motivation–sailing in Costa Rica for a week, means a week of not having to listen the whiniing, screaming or nagging of toddler general, baby general and most importantly me, Mrs. General!
