I guess the last 5 are the hardest…

I am flummoxed about my progress again this week.  After finally getting things rolling last week, I was motivated like never before — and worked harder than I have since 2-a-day football practices in high school — no kidding.  I was getting up to 7 miles of sprint/walk routines in one day.

What do I get from it?  A loss of .4 down to 205 even.  Happy f’ing birthday to me.  I have to believe that maybe it is just a skewed weigh in or something — no way I could not have lost more with the way I ate well and worked my ass off.  But it is what it is — I guess I have to work harder and eat less these last 3 weeks.

I am going to do this, though — there is no doubt in my mind.

I started back

with the strict diet and got back in the gym every day last week and lost 4 pounds.  I’m back under 270 at 269.  I know mathematically I’m eliminated but I need to lose this weight so I’m motivated to do the best I can this week.

Decent rebound

202 for me this week.  Just watched my diet a little more this past week.  Hopefully I’ll get back on the exercise soon.  My back is doing a lot better.

7 pounds in 4 weeks?  You better believe it Nancy.

193.8

A very strong comeback week for me, but I’m not counting any chickens just yet.

Back on Track

FINALLY!  I worked harder this week than I have worked since high school — seriously.  I ran (very hard and fast) or lifted every day.  Saturday I did sprints for over 1 hour.  Hard work really does pay off — down over 3 pounds to 205.4!!!  I was beginning to wonder if hard work really does pay off, but I see now that it definitely does.

Very little rest for the wicked, however — still over 5 pounds to go in one month.  I am giving my body a much deserved break from working out today — but today only.  Tomorrow it is sprints, Wednesday lifting.

I’m reinvigorated by this week’s results — I was starting to doubt some things.

Screwjob

Well, I’m in the same boat as the Cappy. I ate great most of the week, exercised four times, and ended up weighing in at 198. I don’t know if those workouts with weights ended up putting a tad bit of weight on me or what. Anyhow, now I am backed into a corner and have 5 weeks to lose 8 pounds. Certainly doable, but nowhere near the goal-line prance I was staring at three months ago (brutal to think that I weighed 195 three entire f**king months ago). Anyhow…today I walked/jogged for an hour outside, and my eating has been supremo-clean. Mrs. G is grilling up several days worth of clean protein and veggies as we speak. I’ll hit the gym all seven days this week…got to if I’m going to make it. Gotta hit at least 195 by next Monday. I’m not going out like a bitch…gonna hit that 190 if it kills me.

Ouch

I’ve been in such terrible pain for the last week exercise is completely out of the question.  In fact I can barely walk or sit for any time at all.  No moving around and crappy food equals a weight gain.  207 this week.  Damn.

Going back to the Dr. tomorrow.  Hopefully I can get this back pain under control

Absolutely stumped

I started working hard again this week — lifted hard a couple of times, ran hard a couple of times, at well for the most part — either I lifted too hard and put on some muscle weight or I am now cursed, because I gained a pound — up to 208.5.

I have no clue as to why this would happen, especially since I was DOWN a pound earlier in the week.  It is not a one day fluke, though — I have been up that pound when I weighed the last few days.

I guess the “gods” are going to make this harder for me than I had anticipated.  That means I will have to work doubly hard.

Progress…

is not good.  But I started this thing to see it through, even if I don’t win.  I weighed in yesterday after no gym time or smart eating for the past few weeks at 273.  That’s about a five pound increase in the past month or so.  I was telling the Captain while he as out here that I really felt it.  I know I probably looked it too.  Everybody has been real helpful with the emails about staying on track and that has been a real help.  These next several weeks are going to be kick-ass for me.  I promise!
